Filipino Lawmaker Introduces Bill To Promote Microbicide Development

Santiago aforementioned the STIs that could be prevented by the use of microbicides "impose high human costs in pain, diminished quality of life, disablement and death," adding that STIs "substantially enhance susceptibility to HIV infection."
